CHANGE IN PROCEDURE WHEN USING"C" RANGE

Image

FLAGS for C range

The flagpole previously used when shooting at the 100 or 200 point has been removed for repair.

Until further notice the flags indicating which distance you are shooting from, 50,100 or 200, should now be flown from the remaining flagpole

WHEN ARRIVING AT THE RANGE TO SHOOT

Will all Members please follow the following procedures when arriving at the Range to shoot.

The first shooter to arrive is to launch the flags at the gate and in the car park. (The blue gate key now fits both these locks)
The last shooter to leave must lower the two flags.

Because of changes in the Range Safety Certificate, we benefit by not having to use the phones when shooting HV.
But for safety reasons, anyone using “B” or “C” range must have a mobile phone in their possession. Either their own, or the yellow one provided by the Club.

The existing system regarding the displaying of safety flags still applies when shooting HV.

These changes came into effect on the 12 August 2007.

The Range Safety Document is being revised, and all Members will be informed about other improvements

50m B range

In June 2007 the DRPC 1999 management committee were pleased to announce the opening of the new 50m B range

There were some issues over the new range certificate and as a result of this, there were some temporary restrictions which have now been resolved
1) No member is to use the range until they have received a briefing from a committee member, this may be done face to face or over the phone (numbers are available from the membership board).

2) Shooting may now take place at all ranges and all positions UP TO AND INCLUDING 50M with pistol calibre gallery rifles and LBR & LBP's.

3)The final certificate now permits high velocity shooting only from the prone position or off the bench.

4)Target boards have been constructed and are stored in a chest behind the turning targets.

IF YOU SHOOT ON "C" RANGE PLEASE READ THIS

Target positions on C Range

The new Range Safety Certificate has allowed us to put extra target positions on C range.

At 200 the firing point is numbered 1 to 8.
Please ensure that your target frame is at the corresponding number.
i.e. If you shoot from FP 5 make sure your target is number 5.

At 100 we are permitted to have 12 shooters.
Targets “A & B” on the left and “Y & Z” on the right, may be used here.
