Another win for Jim in the Multi-Target Competition
With 14 competitors it was another good entry for a Club event – the NO FEE scheme certainly seems to be working!
Two or three had not shot this course of fire before, but the main problem was with equipment and jams. Although Dave H went to sleep a couple of times and Marianne had brain fade (or was it a blonde moment?)
Centre-Fire This is where Dave dozed off a couple of times and had rounds in the gun when the targets edged, as did others. Rob had ammo problems and to withdraw, and Marianne got confused between her left and right targets so shot on someone else’s as well! But she managed to laugh about it.
Dave coaches Marianne – So too late Dave M was courageous and entered with a rifle straight out of the box and aimed off and somehow got all his shots to count – just!
Keith asked for his late cutting shot to be gauged – No chance.
It seemed that only Jim and Tim kept it all together to come first and second. C-F | Score | Jim | 118 | Tim | 111 | Dave H | 106 | Keith M | 102 | Jason | 100 | Marianne | 84 | Dave M | 82 |
Small-Bore Even with more competitors this was more orderly, with just a few suffering jams here and there to spoil things. The scores were quite close, with several personal bests recorded.
Jim won with ever improving Andy just behind.
S-B | Score | Jim | 114 | Andy | 110 | Rob S | 103 | Nigel | 103 | Marianne | 98 | Tim | 96 | Bryan | 96 | Rob F | 94 | Keith M | 94 | Simon B | 90 |
Long Barrel Pistol
Pat was the only entry and won easily with a very respectable 111.
Any day is good if you are shooting – even better if the sun is out
Time to think where it all went wrong
